Dedicated to protecting our coastlines.
Our Mission and Vision
Founded by local members of the community in 1982, Runswick Bay Lifeboat Station is operated by the Runswick Bay Rescue Boat, a registered charity and volunteer organisation and is in the village of Runswick Bay on the beautiful North Yorkshire coast.
Runswick Bay Rescue Boat is dedicated to ensuring safety at sea. Our volunteers provide essential rescue services and promote water safety education in our community.

Emergency Sea Rescue
We provide critical emergency rescue services for those in distress at sea, ensuring safety and support for all who visit our beautiful coastline.

Community Awareness
We engage the local community through training sessions and awareness campaigns about sea safety and the importance of rescue operations.

Team Building
We foster a strong community of volunteers, offering them training and support to become skilled in rescue techniques and teamwork.
How We Operate
Our organization runs on the dedication of volunteers who are trained in rescue operations. We collaborate with local authorities and maritime organizations to provide timely assistance to those in need. Through regular drills and community engagement, we ensure that our team is always prepared to act swiftly and effectively.
